Theo served with the 96th New York Infantry during the Civil War. He may have been living in Middlebury Vermont about about June 10, 1897, when The Burlington Free Press (Burlington, Vermont) noted Theophile Beaudry "..is in a bad state of health, (and) will be taken to the Soldiers Home in Bennington on Thursday."
It was suggested that Theo died in Massachusetts (several family members were living there then. However, some *transcripts* of Bennington, Vermont death records state indicate "Heophile Beaudry" died at the Soldiers Home in Bennington. Those transcripts also suggest Theophile was born in Connecticut (the only resource to suggest that).
