Funeral services for John Allen Cox, 84, who died at his home at 1324 Brooks Avenue Saturday night will be conducted Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Pennington-Smith Funeral Home. The Rev. A. L. Thompson, pastor of the Fairmont Methodist Church will officiate, and burial will be in Montlawn. Mr. Cox was born in Carpentersville, Ind. He lived in Iowa before moving to Raleigh in 1947. Surviving are his wife, of the home; one son Carlos W. Cox of Pomona, Calif., and three daughters, Mrs. Mateal Waterhouse of Seattle, Wash., Gertrude Cox of Raleigh and Mrs. Edith Templet of San Francisco, Calif.
