Mae Stepp Stanley, 73, a native of Mingo County and well-known in the Williamson, WV, area died May 7, 1987, at her Clearwater home of a lingering illness.
She was the wife of the late Loren Stanley, a retired forman for the Sycamore Coal Co who died in 1972. In earlier years, they resided in Cinderella, WV.
Born at Goodman, WV, on January 9, 1914, she was a daughter of the late George Stepp and Elizabeth White Stepp. She graduated in 1933 from Chattaroy High School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Williamson.
At the time of her death, Mae was survived by one son; one daughter; two brothers; one sister; four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Sanger and Floyd Baker officiating. Interment was in the Stepp Cemetery at Fairview with Weaver Mortuary in charge.
