Flossie E. Good, 96, Missouri Valley, died May 4, 2006, at Longview Home, Missouri Valley. Flossie Ellen Good was born Feb. 3, 1910 in Missouri Valley to Bert and Gertrude M. (Kohl) Weed. She married Charles Russell Good, March 10, 1931. Flossie worked for Dr. John W. Barnes for many years and volunteered at Glenwood State Hospital~School. Flossie was a very loving person who enjoyed her family, friends, cooking and sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell; daughter, Jaline Olson; grandson, Harmon; two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include: her daughter, Nancy Harmon and her husband, George, Omaha; seven grandchildren; 18 great~grandchildren and 17 great~great~grandchildren; and brother, Kenneth Weed and his wife, Delores, Phoenix, Ariz. Funeral Services were held May 8 at the Church of Christ, Missouri Valley, Pastor Nathan Slaughter, officiant. Organist was James Doty, vocalist was Bill Cunard. Casket Bearers were: Dennis Olson, Chuck Harmon, Wayne Moore, Larry Olson, Steve Ott, and Danny Phelps. Interment was in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Missouri Valley. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association. Hennessey~Aman Funeral Home, Missouri Valley, was in charge of arrangements.
