Alice V. Ballard was born April 13, 1912, in Blanchardville, Wis., to Arie L. and Hilda M. (nee Severtson) Ballard. She received her education in Blanchardville. She married Oscar Anderson in 1930 in Argyle, Wis. They farmed in the Argyle and Granton areas until his death in 1955. She married Lawrence Hrach Nov. 22, 1956, in South Dakota. He preceded her in death in 1983. She later worked for Auto Test in Neillsville and also as a nurse s side in the Neillsville Memorial Home for many years. She was a member of Wilson-Heintz VFW Post 2241, Neillsville.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Helen) Schuelke, Two Harbors, Minn. one son, Julian Anderson, Marshfield one sister, Mrs. Bernard (Betty) Weier, Ridgeway four brothers, Russell Ballard, Monroe Howard Ballard, Rockford Burnell Ballard, Rockford and Orville Ballard, Salamanca, N.Y. 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
