Mr. Zevenbergen was born in Pernice, Holland, and came to the United States with his parents, Tony and Maria Zevenbergen and several brothers and sisters. They came here through Ellis Island in 1920. He moved to Tacoma, Washington from Sioux City Iowa in 1942.
He was a shop foreman and automotive electrician for Cross Motor Company. He was a member of the Dutch Reformed Church in Holland, the Joseph E. Warren Lodge No. 235, F&AM; the Low 12 Club; Automotive Machinists Union, Local No. 1152. He attended Asbury Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Bertha Marie; two daughters Mrs. Betty Lou Lane of Milpitas, California and Mrs. Mary Ellen Sand of Tacoma, Washington; three sisters, Mrs. John (Jennie) Stroud of Wheeler, Illinois, Mrs. Thomas (Holly Ann) Hollis of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Mrs. Floyd (Sue) Ren of Snohomish, Washington; five brothers, John and Peter Zevenbergen, both of Tacoma, Tony of Prosser, Marion of Seattle and Leonard of Puyallup; his mother, Maria Zevenbergen of Tacoma, and two grandchildren.
Services will be announced by Mountain View Funeral Home, and burial will be Mountain View Memorial Park.
