Wayne L. “Pete” Moore, age 80, passed away Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield after a long illness.

Pete was born June 20, 1925, in Boyd, Wis., the son of Lewis and Tillie (David) Moore. He was an agent for the Soo Line Railroad for 42 years, retiring in 1985. He was a World War II army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Geri Moore; a daughter, Darlene (Pete) Bak of Memphis, Tenn.; a son, Jeffrey (Sandy) Moore of Thorp; two stepdaughters, Cindy (Ken) Parnewicz and Pam (Bill) Rusch, both of Owen; and two stepsons, Jeff (Michelle) Lindgren of Eau Claire and Tim (Maya) Lindgren of Withee. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pete was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Gilles Moore; his parents; three brothers and a sister.

A Christian memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006, at Sacred Heart/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Boyd, with the Very Rev. Monsignor Richard W. Gilles officiating. Interment of cremains will be in St. Joseph’s cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
