Lewis H. Moore, age 87, of Owen and formerly of Boyd, passed away Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls. He had been admitted to the hospital the previous day.

He was born June 30, 1884 in Boyd, son of James and Margaret Moore. He lived most of his life in the Boyd area, and on November 25, 1908 was united in marriage to Ottelia David at Thorp . After their marriage they moved to Downing, Wis., where they live six years, then moved back to Boyd, where he was railroad depot agent for 37 years, retiring in 1952. He lived in Boyd until July of 1971, when he moved to Owen. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Parish in Boyd, and the Railroad Telegraphers Union.

He is survived by his wife, Ottelia; three sons, John of Valder, Wis., Robert of Portland, Oregon, and Wayne of Owen; one daughter, Miss Shirley Moore of Eau Claire; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Glenn; three brothers and one sister.
