Helen Loftus, 88, of Donora, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at Kenric Manor in Donora. She was born Sept. 5, 1925, in Donora, the daughter of the late Pete and Ann (Stofko) Francis. She was a member of the Our Lady of the Valley Church. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by five brothers, Raymond, Thomas, Jack, Bill, and Joseph Francis. She is survived by her husband, William "Harry" Loftus; a son, Thomas Loftus of Donora; two grandsons, Thomas Loftus of San Francisco, Calif., and Joseph Loftus of Paoli, Pa.; also several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are being handled by the ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Donora, PA 15033 (724) 379-6900, http://www.massafrafuneralhome.com, where the family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Valley Church in Donora with the Rev. Father Pierre M. Falkenhan as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Towns
