Funeral services were held Thursday, November 13 at 2 PM in the Wellman Mennonite church for Jonathan Robert Perrin. Will S. Guengerich was in charge of the service.
Jonathan Robert Perrin, son of the late Thadeus R. and Mary A. Cassell Perrin, was born January 26, 1872 at North English, Iowa County Iowa, and died at his home in Daytonville, Iowa, on November 11, 1947 at the age of 75 years, 10 months, and 16 days. He had been in failing health for the past nine years.
In January 3, 1896, he was united in marriage to Katie Jane Kolosick who survives with her 10 children; twenty - five grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. The children are Mrs. Roy Funston of Keota; Mrs. Ray Sojka of Washington; Cora A. Perrin of Chicago; Archie of Marion; Lawrence of Polo, Ill.; Lester of San Diego, Ca.; Jess of Millersburg; Mrs. Harold W. Miller, Mrs. Curtis Maines, and Wilford of Wellman.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Brown of Rock Island, Ill., and Mrs. Minnie Blumenstein of Wellman. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and two sisters. Mr. Perrin lived 38 years in Daytonville. He was a mason and broom maker by trade until nine years ago when his health began to fail. He was devoted to his family, and was a kind and obliging neighbor. He was not only missed by his family,but by all who knew him.
