June Matthews June Danford Matthews of Zionsville died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at Zionsville Meadows in Zionsville. She was 90.She was born May 6, 1915, in Indianapolis to Benjamin Franklin and Letta Mae (Spencer) Danford; they preceded her in death.She married William Ansel Matthews May 7, 1939, in Indianapolis; he also preceded her in death.She was raised and educated in Indianapolis. She graduated from Warren Central High School in 1933. She attended Butler University. Before her marriage, she worked for several years for Indiana Bell Telephone in Indianapolis. After, she was a homemaker.She lived in Mooresville from 1959 to 1976, Brownsburg from 1976 to 2000 and Zionsville Meadows since 2000.She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her family, friends, reading and cooking, as well as volunteer work for her church and at Perry-Worth Elementary School. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lebanon, P.E.O. and Delta Zeta sorority.Survivors include children Dr. Stephen Ansel Matthews of Indianapolis and Cynthia M. Gibbs and her husband Philip of Lebanon; grandchildren Kelley I. Gibbs Budd and her husband George A. IV of Westfield and Dr. Matthew A. Gibbs of Chicago; and great-grandchildren Annaliese L. Budd, Alden M. Budd and Aaron Budd, all of Westfield.She was also preceded in death by brother Charles B. Danford.
