Mr. Baker was born August 26, 1904 in Bradley County, a son of James Thomas Baker and Nannie Zuella Milholland Baker. He was a retired flooring plant foreman for Partee Flooring Company at Magnolia, Arkansas and a member of the First Assembly of God Church at Warren.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edna Mae Upshaw Baker; a son, Boyce W. Baker of Virginia Beach, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Roger Tucker of Kingwood, Texas and Mrs. H. L. Childrey of Pine Bluff; three sisters, Mrs. Prather O'Neal of Warren, Mrs. Alex Cooper of Stow, Ohio and Mrs. Cone Kinard of Warren; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday at the First Assembly of God Church by Rev. David Wiggins. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery by Frazer Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Earl Rawls, Doyle Gill, Vance Ozment, W. T. Outlaw, Donnie Hollingsworth, Dewey Rodgers, Otis Gill and Artie Savage. -- from the Eagle Democrat, Warren, AR
