Henry Boone Sr., 83, Dies At Perkins

Mr. Henry Boone Sr. of Perkins, Iowa died on the 23rd day of June, 1944 at the home of his son Henry Boone Jr. of Perkins, Iowa at the age of 83 years and 2 months and 25 years.

Mr. Boone Sr. was born in Drente, Holland, on March 29, 1861. He came to America in the year 1908 with his wife and small son Henry and settled in Hull, Iowa and lived around this part of Iowa since they came to America. Mrs. Henry Boone preceded him in death on Oct. 16, 1926. Also a little baby Herman Boone who died at the age of 6 months.

Mr. Boons leaves to mourn his death 7 sons and 4 daughters and 13 living grandchildren, 2 grand children, preceded him in death. Henry Boone Jr. of Perkins, Andrew Boone, Albert and Martin of Matlock, William and Mrs. Gerrit Niessink of Steen, Minn., Mrs. John Overgaauw and Joe Boone of Boyden, la. Mr. John Boone and Mrs. Arie De Bruin of Sheldon, Miss. Henrietta Boone of George.

Funeral services were held in the First Reformed Church at Hull, Rev. Van Kerkhof and Rev. J.C. Kastelein of the First Baptist Church of Sioux Center, officiating.
