Eugene F. Draude, 85, of Lancaster, entered into rest on Friday, August 8, 2014 at home. He was the husband of Marguerite "Peg" R. (Ruhl) Draude with whom he had celebrated sixty-two years of marriage on May 10.

Eugene retired as district manager from Suburban Propane.

Born November 12, 1928 on Cabbage Hill, he was the son of the late Carl H. and Mabel J. (Hegener) Draude, Sr. and was a lifelong Catholic and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Eugene was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Millersville/Manor VFW-Post 7294. He also was a member of the Eighth Ward Club and the Riverside Camping Association.

Also surviving are four children, David E., of VA, William F. married to Kimberly, of Lancaster, Barbara J., of TN and John P. of HI; two grandchildren, Jordan and Kasey; and three siblings, Geraldine L. Meiskey, Josephine A. Kingree and Genevieve C. Krause. He was preceded in death by three siblings, Carl H. Draude, Jr., John E. Draude and Rosemarie Laukhuff.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph Street, Lancaster, PA 17603 on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 10 AM. Interment will be in the St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA. Friends may call at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday between 9 and 10 AM. Kindly omit flowers. Memorial Remembrances can be made in Eugene's memory to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
