Jane R. LaViolette, age 66, of 1927 S. 35th St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 22, 2000, at St. Vincent's Hospital, Green Bay. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2000, at St. John's United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Robet Meyer, with burial at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth. Jane was born October 27, 1933, in Sturgeon Bay, daughter of the late Christopher and Edna Torstenson Demmin. On April 26, 1952, she married Kenneth LaViolette in Valmy, Wis. He preceded he in death March 8, 1994. Jane was employed at St. Mary's Nursing Home for many years, retiring in 1996. She was an active member of St. John's United Church of Christ. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Claran LaViolette, Manitoowoc, Loren and Terri LaViolette, Manitowoc, Lane and Terri LaViolette, Baraboo; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Rick Paulson, Manitowoc, Lori (Missy) and Duane Wiegand, Sturgeon Bay and 14 grandchildren. She is further survived by sisters, Erlene (Dale) Irwin, Rochester, Ind., Merce (Lester) Niemuth, Sturgeon Bay, Joyce (Dick) Vertz, Kansas City, Kan., Kerrin (Don) Rae, Menasha, Joanell (Harland) Otis, Sturgeon Bay; brothers, Chris (Carol) Demmin, Jr., Luxemburg-Casco, Russ (Nanch) Demmin, Sturgeon Bay. Additional survivors include sisters-in-law, Leonette Demmin, Sturgeon Bay, Mildred Monfils, Brussels, Vivian (Wayne) Johnson, Cleveland, Virginia (Charles) Meunier, Kellnersville, Donna Nicholson, Sturgeon Bay, Shirley (Fred) Grapentine, Manitowoc, Doris (Daryle) Wolske, Algoma, Fay (Willard) Kolstad, Forestville, Wis.; brothers-in-law, Kieth (sic) LaViolette, Casco, Roy (Mary) LaViolette, Sturgeon Bay, Louie (Susie) LaViolette and Philip Nelson, Sturgeon Bay. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Allen and Warren; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Nelson and two brothers-in-law, Lawrence Monfils and Tom Nicholson.
