Beatrice M. Riu, 83 of Allentown, passed away on November 6, 2009 at the Phoebe Nursing Home. Born in Coopersburg, Beatrice was the daughter of the late Russell Mann and Dorothy (Baus) Mann. She was the wife of Rev. Marshall J. Riu Jr. for 61 years. She was a graduate of Coopersburg High school class of 1944 and Allentown Business School graduating in 1948. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Freemansburg where her husband was a Pastor. Beatrice was a Secretary for Zephyr Mills, Coopersburg, Western Electric Tool & Die Dept. and Franklin & Marshall College Geology Dept.
Survivors: Husband, sons; Stephen M. Riu of Erie, Pa., James D. Riu of Mohnton, Pa.; daughter, Rebecca A. Riu of Allentown; brothers, Ralph Mann of Coopersburg, and Rollin Mann of Sierra Madrey, Calif.; sisters,Arlene Mann, Grace Roberts, Fern Mann, and Bernice Mann all of Coopersburg; grandchildren, Jessica, Angela & Kelsey; great-grandchildren, Dominic and Devin. Beatrice was predeceased by brothers, Arcus and Ray Mann and a sister, Joyce Mann.
