He was a 1942 graduate of Penn State University.
Born in Coopersburg, he was a son of the late Russell Isaac and Dorothy Helen (Baus) Mann.
He was a member and past deacon of st. John's United Church of Christ, Mifflinburg.
He was an army veteran of World War II, where he received two Bronze Stars.
Survivors: wife; sons, John A. of Crownsville, Md., and Michael A. of Columbia, S.C.; daughters, Nancy A. of Dexter, Mich., and Barbara L., wife of Robert Theesfeld of William's Bay, Wisc.; brothers, Ralph H. of Coopersburg and Rollin E. of Sierra Madre, Calif.; sisters, Beatrice M. Riu of Allentown, Joyce P. of Emmaus, Arlene E. of Coopersburg, Grace E. Roberts of Port Royal, Juniata County, and Fern L. and Bernice L., both of Coopersburg, and six grandchildren.
