Philip Porubcansky, 80, of Rt. 1, Whitelaw, died Saturday evening at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, following a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, ZCBJ Lodge speaker Charles Sindelar will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.
Mr. Porubcansky was born Jan. 14, 1889, in Czechoslovakia, son of the late John and Betty Yesternik Porubcansky. When he was 16 years old, he came to the United States.
He married Mary Martincak Nov. 14, 1915, at Chicago. They came to Manitowoc in 1918 and settled on their farm at Whitelaw in 1929. He was a member of the ZCBJ Lodge No. 20 of Melnik.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, John of Rt. 4, Manitowoc, Edward of Rt. 1, Whitelaw, and Joseph of Francis Creek; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Violet) Reynolds, of Rt. 1, Whitelaw; seven grandchildren and a great grandchild. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home until the time of services Tuesday.
