Maria/Mary HIGH was daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth HIGH of E Nantmeal. She married Henry LANDIS, son of Frederick LANDIS, who emigrated age 10 in 1749, and she and Henry settled in E Nantmeal until about 1814 when they sold most of their land and located to Churchtown/Caernarvon area in Lancaster Co. Her tombstone shows she was age 68 when she died in 7/1831.
They had 6 children: David,who lived in Caernarvon, Lancaster Co; Jacob and Frederick, who went to Ohio; Elizabeth m John Richards, lived in Reading; Daniel, Warwick Twp., Chester Co., and Barbara m Wm. Peck and lived in Reading.
