Henry J. Bickom, 86, Upper Floyd Ave., died Thursday evening in a Rome hospital after a long illness.
He was born September 20, 1875, in Governeur, son of John and Sarah Sweeney Bickom. Mr. Bickom married Emma D. Delano, who died January 11, 1957.
He was a former resident of Vernon.
Surviving are six step-daughters, Mrs. Elmira Taylor and Mrs. Archie Taylor, both of Rome, Mrs. William English, Syracuse, Mrs. Channey Patterson, Erie, Pa., Mrs. Herbert Leonard, Stanwix, and Mrs. Charles Dunn, Connecticut, two step-sons, Carl Furney, Rome, and Sidney Furney, Utica, and 25 grandchildren.
