Mrs. Emma D. Bickom, Seneca St., Vernon, mother of Carl Furney and Mrs. Archie Taylor, Rome, died yesterday in a Rome hospital where she had been a patient since December of 1955.
She was born in St. Lawrence County on February 3, 1876, and was twice married, first to the late Antwyn Furney and then to Henry J. Bickom, who survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Sidney Furney of Utica, and Herbert J. Bickom of Sherrill, five daughters, Mrs. Willliam English of Syracuse, Mrs. Chauncey Patterson in Pennsylvania, Mrs. Herbert Leonard of Stanwix, Mrs. Charles Dunn of Berlin, Conn., and Miss Armintha Furney of Vernon, and a sister.
Mrs. Bickom had lived in Vernon two years.
