Garry Paul Bockenkam died peacefully in his sleep at home on August 6, 2014.

He was born in Anacortes April 30, 1959 to Herman W. and Susan Konecny-Bockenkamp. Garry spent most of his life in Anacortes.

He loved fishing, especially at his favorite spot, Heart Lake. His twin brother, Barry, was frequently by his side on most of his lakeside excursions. His children, Jemma and Garry II, have fond memories of camping with their dad.

After spending over 20 years working as a painter for Dakota Creek, Garry spent his time living between Anacortes and Concrete.

In addition to his children Jemma and Garry II, Garry is survived his sisters: Annette, Helen, Susan and Jeannie; his brothers: Bill, Larry, Richard, Steve, Brian, Greg, and his twin, Barry; by grandchildren Jazmin and Khloe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside committal for Garry at Grandview Cemetery, Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of his life at the Anacortes Elks at 1 p.m.

Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., Anacortes, WA and the San Juan Islands.
