Mrs. E. Ellsworth Case: Mrs. Rebecca H. Case, 86, formerly of Phillipsburg, died last night in the Gardner nursing home, Easton, where she had been a patient for 16 months. She was the widow of E. Ellsworth Case. Mr. Case who made her home in Phillipsburg for 60 years, was residing at 120 Chambers Street before her admission in the home. She was born in Quakertown, NJ, a daughter of the late Abram and Jane D. Vail. She was a member of the Friends Meeting House, Buckingham, Bucks County. Her husband and only daughter, Mrs. Ethel Barnard, died within a few weeks of each other, about 30 years ago. Surviving are three grandchildren, Mrs. Anthony Kauth, of Long Island, NY.; Mrs. Adele Williams of Baltimore, MD and Miss Ethel Barnard of Idaho., Falls, Idaho, and two sisters, Mrs. Clara V. Gary, and Mrs. Laura D. Trout, both of Phillipsburg.
Rites for Mrs. Case
Funeral Services for Mrs. Rebecca H. Case, 86, formerly of Phillipsburg, were held this afternoon in the Hagerty colonial home, Phillipsburg. Mrs. Case the widow of E. Ellsworth Case, died on Tuesday night in the Gardner nursing home, Easton. The Rev. Hugh E. Kemper, pastor of First Moravian Church, conducted the service. Internment was in Fairmont cemetery, Phillipsburg. Relatives were pallbearers. Published 9-16-1949, Easton Edition News
