Wilson enlisted in the 7th Ohio Cavalry
on 16 Sept. 1862 at Batavia OH
and was discharged 1 July 1865.
He was admitted to the Dayton National
Soldiers' Home on 25 Feb. 1893
at the age of 65.
He was 5'8" tall, with gray eyes and hair.
His occupation was farrier, and he was single,
and a Protestant.
His next of kin was listed as his niece,
Laura Cooder of New Richmond.
He died suddenly at the soldiers' home
in barracks 7 of "cardiac dilatation".
