Mozzy was a wonderful little ginger cat who came into our lives in 2005. He showed up on our back deck one hot afternoon, suffering from an upper respiratory infection, dehydrated and malnourished. Our vet fixed him up within a few days and then my husband and I had a great debate about naming him. I wanted to name him Ozzy because his ginger stripes came to a perfect O on his right side, but we decided that Mozzy would be more dignified. Mozzy was a great comfort to me when my father passed away unexpectedly in August of the same year. He loved to play and chase toy mice and rubber balls, and he was always occupying my favorite chair. His favorite foods were Purina Cat Chow and tuna juice.
Mozzy was attacked by an unknown predator and died before we could get him to our vet. We were heartbroken to lose our Mozzy but we placed his little body into a wooden coffin and buried him down in the field under a hickory tree, near Ty Ling and Sam.
