AMBURGEY, Beatrice – Of National City, age 69, died Sunday, August 10, 2014 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Bishop Jeff Lambert officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the funeral home.
Beatrice was born in Dema, Kentucky on November 11, 1944, daughter of Lamar and Elizabeth (Hall) Sturgill.
She married Kermit Amburgey on July 3, 1969 and he preceded her in death on February 23, 2009.
She loved cooking, spending time with her grandkids, Tigers Baseball and all sports.
Surviving are sons, Jerry M. (Sarah) Brown and
Marvin (Wendi) Amburgey;
five grandchildren, Jerry M. Brown, Jr.,
Jeremy M. Brown,
Jackson Amburgey,
Jason Amburgey and
Justin Amburgey;
two great-grandchildren, Jade and Orion;
siblings, Rudolph (Cheryl) Sturgill, Randolph (Ernestine) Sturgill and JoAnne (John) Clark.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Marshal Sturgill.
