Mrs. Ethyl Carr Winstead, 61, wife of David Roy Winstead and daughter of William and Mrs. Rosa Lee Walters Carr, died at a Norfolk hospital yesterday at 3:30 p.m.
Mrs. Winstead was a native of Howard County, Md., and a resident of Norfolk 50 years, residing last at 5509 Alson Drive.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J. Warren White, Jr., of Norfolk and Mrs. George William Drennen of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Hugh Tolon Hall, Jr., of Norfolk and two nieces.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Apartments to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for funeral services Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Rosary services will be conducted at the funeral apartments tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.
