The Trenton Weekly News, Trenton, Missouri 29 Dec 1910 page 5 col 1 Adam Rentfrow Dead Passes Away at Residence this Morning (from Friday's Daily) Adam Rentfrow, aged eighty-seven years and past, died about 2 o'clock this morning at his home on Lincoln avenue. Death followed a long illness during the last few weeks of which the sick man was continually in a critical condition. The funeral will be held at the family home Saturday morning at 9:45 o'clock prompt. The services will be in charge of Rev. L. C. Sappenfield. Burial will occur at Galt. The pall bearers will be: C. A. Foster, William McCarthy, W. H. Duke, N. M. Ridgeway, G. G. McFarland and E. R. Overman. Mr. Rentfrow was born March 12, 1823 near Dayton, Ohio. In Ohio, he was married to Alzina Dunn. To this union fifteen children were born, thirteen of whom survive their father. They are Mrs. May J. Smith of Humphrey; Mrs. Jemina Gillespie and Mrs. Emma Martin of Wheeling, Mo.; George Renfrow of this county; Lewis Renfrow, Jessie Renfrow and Mrs. E. Horton of Omaha, Nebr.; William Renfrow, Denver, Colo.; Adam Renfrow, Vancouver, B.C.; John Renfrow, Oregon; James Renfrow Grand Rapids, Me. [sic]; Milton Renfrow, Loup City, Nebr.; and Mrs. Lucinda Zehntboner, Portland, Ore. Twenty-eight years ago Mr. Rentfrow married a second time to Miss Elmira Johnson. Early in life he professed faith and became a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, an organization in which he has been a faithful worker throughout all his life. It is requested that those desiring to attend the services be at the home by 9:30."
