Rev. David Lee Jay age 76 of Dardanelle died Monday, August 18, 2014 at Baptist Health Medical Center. He was born February 20, 1938 at Delaware to the late Lee and Dora Farnam Jay. He was a member of the Delaware Assembly of God Church, a minister for 30 years in the Assemblies of God, 26 years in the Independent Assemblies, he spent his life committed to God and the ministry and he loved his family and friends dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Raquel Jay McMaken; sisters, Ocie Wood Clark, Ruth Wood Bata, Dortha Wood Vassaur, Ima Jay Manuel, Oral Jay Manuel; brothers, Bill Winner, Orval Jay, Glen Jay, Kenneth Jay, Bobby Jay, Harry “Bussie” Jay.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Cilestene Chambers Jay of Dardanelle; one son, David Farrell Jay and wife Bonita of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one brother, Milbern Jay and wife Reetha of Redding, California; six grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:00A.M., Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Delaware Assembly of God Church with Rev. Bob Freeman and Rev. Charles Kendrick officiating. Burial will be in Graves Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Delaware Assembly of God Church, P.O. Box 431, Delaware, Arkansas 72835.
