He was born to Johnny Dillard and Versie Morgan Dillard in Paris, TX, on August 24, 1924. Mr. Dillard attended public schools in Paris, TX, and at an early age, he joined the United States Army. Mr. Dillard was honorably discharged after which time he relocated to Abilene, TX, where he met and married the late Iris Hortence Cunningham Dillard. From this union came four children, Howard, Brenda, Versia Ann and Judy.
Ivory Dillard worked for 48 years at the Abilene Country Club until his retirement in 1998. He was preceded in death by his wife Iris and his daughter Versia Ann.
Mr. Dillard leaves to mourn him his son Howard (Lurlean), daughters Judy and Brenda (Curry), seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a sister, Thelma Dangerfield (Raymond Sr.), and two brothers Roosevelt and Manzo Dillard.
