Former Oil City Man, 102, Dies - Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 9:00am Monday in St. Michael's Church, Fryburg, for 102 year old Henry Hargenrader, former local residentwho died at 9:15am, Friday, in the home of a daughter Mrs Ida Schill, Huefner. He had been seriously ill the past four weeks. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

He was born July 22, 1849 in Marble, Clarion County. He was employed as a carpenter and for many years lived and worked in Oil City. On July 24, 1949, he marked his 100th birthday anniversary at a family reunion in the Schill residence. A large number of relatives and friends attended.

He was married to the former Mary Lauer who died in 1872(sic), and their daughter, Mrs Barney Fasenmyer of Fryburg died in 1893(sic). (These dates should be 1874 and 1931 respectively)

His second wife, the former Mary Hagdelena Fasenmyer, died in 1927. Four children were born to the couple: Charles, of Oil City, who died in 1927; Herman (Hermes), of Meadville; Norbert of Oil City; Mrs. Ida Schill of Huefner with whom he resided. He has a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Susan Hargenrader, who resides in Lucinda.
