ASSONET ~ Dorothy May (Booth) Pilling 93 years old died at her home on Sunday evening August 17, 2014. Born in Taunton daughter of Alexander and Beatrice (Dunkerly) Booth.
She was educated in Taunton schools and was long time member of the United Church of Assonet. She was a 53-year resident of Assonet and was very active with her late husband Richard W. Pilling in the Freetown Historical Society. She was a former Cafeteria Manager for the Freetown- Lakeville School district.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Avenue (Route 138 South) Taunton on Monday August 25, 2014 from 4-7 PM. A Memorial Service will be held in the United Church of Assonet on Tuesday August 26, 2014 at 11 AM. Donations in her memory may be made to United Church of Assonet or to the Freetown Historical Society.
