He enlisted in the Army on September 11, 1942 in Bangor, Maine. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Unskilled lumbermen and also as Single, without dependents.

Romeo died in the "Line Of Duty" from injuries during the war.

Son of Adolphe and Alice Madore Charette.

At the families request the state of Connecticut was added to his headstone instead of his state of residence prior to the war (Maine).
