Lee was born Feb. 2, 1944 to Dorothy and Raymond "Bud" Tyson. He lived in Milwaukie for most of his life and graduated from Milwaukie High School. Lee was predeceased by his wife Marilyn (Jones) Tyson in 2012. Lee is survived by his son Scott, his daughter Traci Perkins and four granddaughters. Lee worked as a brakeman/conductor for the Southern Pacific/Union Pacific Railroad for over 38 years.

A service was held Aug. 15, 2014 at Skyline Memorial Gardens.
