Nora had severe arthritis. So in 1941 she, her brother Ed, and their father James moved to Arizona. As Nora got older she was totally dependent upon her brother Ed. He was worried she may outlive him, but Nora ended up dying first.
Nora had a sister-in-law married to another brother, Thomas, also named Nora. The sister-in-law was very thin, so they called her "skinny Nora" and this one was called "fat Nora".
