Patricia Gooch August 31, 1973 ~ November 15, 2008
The world lost one of its brightest smiles when Tricia Gooch, our "Babydoll", unexpectedly passed away at the young age of 35 on November 15, 2008, at her home in Ogden, Utah.
Tricia was born August 31, 1973 in Ogden, Utah to William (Bill) and Kerry Jones Gooch. She lived her entire life in Ogden, graduating from Bonneville High School in 1991, and Stacy's College of Beauty. She enjoyed her several years as a cosmetologist and nail technician. Many friends and faithful patrons grew year by year while serving at Ruby River Restaurant and she has, most recently, proven herself as a skilled construction management technician for Caldwell Richards Sorensen Engineers, working closely with her father. She had an extra special and very pleasant personality with the ability to handle difficult work challenges with everyone feeling good about the result.
Our Babydoll loved being outdoors, whether it was bow hunting, camping, snowboarding, river rafting, fishing, or simply relaxing at the cabin. She was her happiest and most comfortable outside. If asked what her truest love was, most certainly it would be riding behind "the biggest part of her heart", Tony, on his Harley. She was a pied piper where all children wanted to spend time with her. Often times they'd beg for sleepovers or hours of enriched play at any given time. She loved each of them as if they were her own. Particularly her little "Favorite Friend, Regan".
She was a great friend to all she knew. So many of us will never forget how she put others first. Her smile could light up the darkest mood. We will miss her laugh and those unforgettable kisses-the wet ones especially.
Tricia was preceded in death by her grandparents, Porter and Melba Gooch; William (Bill) and Dora Jones; and Dorothy Orrock. She is survived by her father William (Dianna) Gooch, mother, Kerry Gooch and father, Robert Orrock; brothers, Jason (Cara) Gooch; and Jonathon (Liz) Gooch. Tricia is also survived by three half sisters and one half brother, Tyler (Carissa) Buck and children; Sunee Buck; Ashlee Gooch and newborn daughter Kambri; Megan (Tyson) Hales; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Also missing Tricia desperately are her amazing nephews, Ethan, Evan, and Aiden Gooch and her precious niece, Mara. She'll be greatly missed by her beloved grandparents, Vard and Sue Orrock. And surely not to be forgotten is her loving companion, Tony Olivas.
