She was born on February 28, 1916 to Homer D. and Amelia (Helmuth) Sommers. On February 27, 1938 she married Ora C. Miller, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Miller was a member of the Howard-Miami Mennonite Church, and retired in 1983 from Maconaquah School Corporation, where she worked as a cook.
Survivors include a son, Ted Miller and wife Pamela Miller, Kokomo; two daughters, Kay Bowman and husband Richard Bowman, Peru; Sena Osborne and husband David, Hesston, Kansas; three sisters, Alice and brother-in-law Gene Horner, Kokomo; Leona King, Logansport; Anna Ruth and brother-in-law Mark Horner, Kokomo; grandchildren Karl Willis and wife Shannon; Scott Willis and wife Staci; Kelly Rice and husband Cy; Sasha Perry and husband Sean; Troy Osborne and wife Emma; Ryan Osborne; Hannah Troyer and husband Marty; Steve Stout and wife Dusti; Greg Miller and wife Jenny; Zach Bowman, and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, both parents, sisters Emma Hochstedler, Martha Sweitzer, Pauline Horner, Bernice Ganger, Elnora Jane Sommers; two brothers, Clayton Sommers, Daniel Sommers and one son, Homer Elon Miller.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., on Tuesday at Howard-Miami Mennonite Church with Pastors Randy Detweiler and Lee Miller officiating.
Burial will follow at Mast Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Howard-Miami Mennonite Church, 3976 E 1400 South, Kokomo.
