Mr. Edgar Daniel Butler

Mr. Edgar Daniel Butler age 80 of Trosper, KY passed away on Friday night at his home, he was the husband of Shirley Havana (Collins) Butler who united in marriage on September 14, 1953, and the son of Charles & Fannie (Williams) Butler of Knox County born to them on July 17, 1930.

Edgar believed in the Baptist faith, and was a former Saw Mill Operator, Edger enjoyed his family, working in the yard, watching birds, and visiting with his neighbors.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers Bill, Beverly, General, and Delphus Butler, one sister Ruby Vontage, two grandchildren Daniel Wayne Wilson, and David Joseph Colyer, one great grandchild Elijah Thomas Michael Luhr.

Edgar is survived by his loving wife Shirley, of Trosper, KY, three sons Michael Wayne Butler & wife Brenda of Latoniya, KY, Leslie Charles Butler & wife Dana of Trosper, KY and Edgar Daniel Butler, Jr & wife Patty of Barbourville, KY, four daughters, Eva Marie Rice of Corbin, KY, Marilynn Frances Brown of Trosper, KY, Vera Beloise Wilson & husband George of FortWright, KY and Jewel Annette Lawson & husband Donnie of Artemus, KY, twenty three grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Mr. Butler will be conducted on Tuesday – February 22nd, 2011 @ 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the rev. Arnold Petery & Rev. Steve Honeycutt. Pallbearers will Family & Friends; Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Turner & Staff, & Dr. Bux & Staff. Burial will follow in the William Cemetery at Trosper. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the Hampton Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
