Mr. Delphus R. Butler age 72 of Knox County was born on March 24, 1934 to Charlie and Fannie Williams Butler. Mr. Butler died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 in the Beech Tree Nursing Home in Jellico Tennessee.
Along with his parents Mr. Butler was preceded in death by two brothers: Beverly & General Butler; a Sister: Ruby Voytovich: a half-brother; Bill Butler and a sister-in-law: Rosetta Butler.
Mr. Butler is survived by a brother Edgar Butler and wife Havana of Trosper; A sister-in-law, Georgia of Trosper; and several Nieces & Nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Delphus R. Butler will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel Friday July 4, 2008 at 2:30 pm with Rev. Dale Phipps and Rev. Ray Powers officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery at Trosper with Leslie Butler, Danny Butler, Charlie Butler, George Thomas Wilson, Ernest Wilson, and Brandon Wilson serving as pallbearers. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home on Thursday July 3, 2008 from 6:00-9:00 pm and after 10:00 am on Friday until
