J. Ambrose Erickson
After an illness covering a period of two years from ulcerations of
the stomach, death came to relieve the sufferings of J. Ambrose
Erickson at 1 o'clock Monday morning, August 12, 1918, at the age
of 45 years, 4 months, and 8 days. Mr. Erickson was born at Omaha,
Nebr. April 4, 1873, coming to this locality with his parents when
a boy. He was married Sept. 17, 1902 to Miss Christine Olson. To
this union were born four children, one of whom died in infancy.
The three surviving are Marjory, Marie and Berniece, who share with
their widowed mother the heartfelt sympathy of the community over
the loss of a devoted father and husband, cut off in the prime of
life. He is also survive by three brothers, Erick, Charles, and
Andrew. The funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at two
o'clock from the late home, Rev. Reger of Uehling officiating.
Interment was made in the Baptist cemetery near Uehling. During his
residence in his community Mr. Erickson had made many friends, and
his demise is deeply felt by all. He was a true friend, a helpful
neighbor and a good citizen.
