MUSCATINE, Iowa - Harold Sumner Frost, 92, of Muscatine and a
longtime resident of San Carlos, Calif., died Wednesday, Feb. 4,
2004, at Lutheran Homes in Muscatine.

There will be no services or visitation. His cremains will be buried
at a later date in the Baptist Cemetery in Yehling, Neb.

The Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello is in charge of the
arrangements.

Mr. Frost was born Aug. 8, 1911, in Yehling, the son of Fredrick E.
and Nellie Sumner Frost. He married Hattie Lois Holt Oct. 25, 1939,
in Reno, Nev. She preceded him in death Oct. 3, 1998.

He graduated from Yehling High School.

He served his country in the Philippines during World War II in the
U.S. Army Air Corps.

He was an auto mechanic and owned and operated a Flying A service
station for many years. He worked for 20 years with Foster's
Restaurants in San Francisco.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in San Carlos and taught
Sunday school.

He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite. He was
a Rotarian and was a recipient of the Paul Harris Award.

He had been a Past Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a
member of the Independent Order of Foresters.

Survivors include one son, Don and Sheila Frost of Muscatine; two
grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and one brother, Fredrick
Frost of Banning, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, three sisters,
Ruth, Blanche and Gertrude; and one brother, Kenneth.
