FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR DAYTON RESIDENT
Funeral services for Mrs. W.E. Foster, who died at her home near Dayton at the age of 68 after a long illness, were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Macy's chapel. the Rev. Arthur Stanley and Dr. Victor Morris of Eugene officiated. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery.
Born Luella Belle Hibbert, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hibbert, at West Salem, Ill., Feb. 9, 1870, Mrs. Foster had lived in Dayton since 1886. Her marriage to William Foster, who survives her, took place there 48 years ago.
Other surviving relatives are four sons, Clark B., Frank, and Vernon Foster, all of Dayton, and Major A.D. Foster of Sacramento, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Sellah Rooper of Antelope and Mrs. Wilva Louis of Dayton; two step-daughters, Mrs. Leota Sloan of Dayton and Mrs. Bessie Curtis of Portland; a brother, James Hibbert of Dayton; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Westerfield of Bremerton, Wash., and Mrs. Carrie Mortensen of West Linn.
