LONG-TIME RESIDENT OF DAYTON SUCCUMBS
DAYTON, Mar. 14 – James Hibbert, 74, resident of the Dayton vicinity since he was 14 years old, died at a McMinnville hospital Saturday.
He was born Mar. 5, 1872, at West Salem, Ill., and came to Dayton with his parents in 1886. He married Mrs. Martha Johnson Hall in 1911 at McMinnville and farmed near Dayton until poor health compelled him to sell his farm a few years ago.
Surviving are the widow and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Macy's chapel in McMinnville, Tuesday at 2 o'clock. Burial was at the Evergreen Memorial park. K.P. Loop officiated at the services.
