After an accident where he was kicked in the head by a horse, he had a steel plate in his head. The plate was never changed and caused him to have terrible headaches. The pain was more than he could take and he commited suicide.

Archie Robet LUndvall was born at Hale, Colorado on May 25, 1920 and spent the greatest part of his boyhood in that community.
In 1940 he went to Denver where he was employed as one of the head butchers at the Cudany Packing Company until he went in the army late that year. He was married June 20, 1940 to Orean McClure. Denver has been their home since he was dischared from the army in 1945 after two years of overseas duty.
He died in Denver December 8, 1952 at the age of 32 years, 7 months and 13 days. Left to mourn are his wife; Orean; his daughter; Flora Elaine; his father, Emil Lundvall of Denver; his mother, Mrs. Chris Bauder of Burlington; four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Weaver of Wray; Mrs Thelma Williams of Kansas City, Missouri; Mrs. Violet Knapp and Mrs. Lillian Lengel, both of Burlington and one brother, Virgil Lundvall of Burlington.
A military funeral was held Thursday afternoon December 11 from the Hendricks Mortuary in Burlington. Burial was in the Burlington Cemetery.
