Beulah Lee Charlton Hannigan, 104, of Jumping Branch went home to be with the Lord, Monday, September 1, 2014 at Country View Assisted Living Center following a long illness.

Born July 11, 1910 at Madams Creek she was a daughter of the late Ed and Edna Meadows Charlton.

Beulah was the oldest member of the Bluestone Baptist Church. She was a retired school teacher for the Summers County Board of Education and had also taught at Shady Spring High School. Beulah enjoyed playing piano, singing, composing music, reading, flowers, art, poetry and spending time with family and friends.

Beulah was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Willis Hannigan Jr.; a special son in law, Joe C. Boland and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Joe C. “Margaret” Boland of Jumping Branch; three grandchildren, Teresa “Terri” L. Lampe and husband John of Morgantown, GA, Michael J. Boland and wife Myra of Hinton and Patrick Harrison Boland and wife Susan of VA; four great grandchildren, Kristopher Michael Boland, Kimberly Michelle Shafer, Mackenzie Drew and Piper Harrison Boland; one great great grandchild, Carter Rhae Shafer; one sister, Margaret Kennedy and husband John of TX; one brother, Tom Charlton of OH and numerous nieces and nephews.

At Beulah’s request there will be no funeral services.
