Funeral services for Adolph Steinke, St. Paul, were held in the Mattson Funeral Home, Forest Lake, June 11 with the Rev. Frank Johnson of Faith Lutheran church officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Richard Pepin. Pallbearers were Frank Boehm, Frank Arndt, Ben Anderson, Ira Miles and Emil Sternberg. Burial was in Scandinavian cemetery. Mr. Steinke, whose death was caused by cardio-respiratory failure, had attained the age of 89 years, one month and 23 days before he passed away in Ancker Hospital, St. Paul, Sunday, June 8. He was born in Germany on April 15, 1869. He was married to Anna Dorn May 27, 1907. The Steinkes lived in St. Paul then came to Forest Lake in 1922 and resided here until 1956 when they moved back to St. Paul. He is survived by two children, Edeth of St. Paul, and Gust of Forest Lake. He was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
