Gerda Brisbin, 73 of Big Lake, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 21, 2004. The funeral service was Monday, July 26 at Dare's Funeral Home, Elk River. Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Mrs. Brisbin is survived by her son, Ron and his fiancée, Cheryl Acevedo; granddaughters, Shannon (Ryan) Zarda and Danielle (Cory) Gulsvig; three great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Marion (Al) Slinden of Litchfield; nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur; son William J.; mother, Clara; and sister, Edith.
