MRS. CHARLES MYERS DIES
AT HOME OF DAUGHTER
BLAKELY, April 11. - Mrs. Charles
Myers died at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. James Lanyon, of Providence,
Friday morning. She was born in Germany,
July 3, 1851, and came to this
country when but twelve years of age,
and resided in the Dickson borough,
later coming to Blakely, where she
has been a resident for the past
twenty-eight years. She was a member
of the Blakely Baptist church.
She is survived by five daughters
and two sons, as follows: Mrs.
Thomas McMiam, Rochester, N. Y.;
Mrs. James Lanyon, Providence; Mrs.
Thomas Jenkins, of Dickson City; Mrs.
William Jones, West Scranton; Mrs.
William Symon, of this place; Theodore
of Detroit, Mich., and William, of
Blakely; also the following sisters:
Mrs. Harry* Sperry, of Altoona; Mrs.
Charles Shotto, of Providence; Mrs.
Spencer King, of Green Ridge; Mrs.
James Wilson, of Green Ridge, and
Mrs. William Schaffer, of Dickson City.
The funeral will be held from the
home of her daughter, Mrs. William
Symons, Second street, Blakely, on
Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
