George was the eldest child born to Leonard Erwin Snibley and Lorraine Iola Northcott Snibley. He graduated from Ventura High and went on to become a computer programming engineer, retiring in 2003 from Candle Corporation. George was briefly married out of high school to Linda Wood. They were married in Ventura on September 24, 1964. On October 11, 1968 George married Diane Carol McKim. To this union three children were born, Kimberley Renee, Leonard Robert, and Jason Owen. The couple had six grandchildren, Tyler Bryan, Dylan Travis, Olivia Sydney, Conor Joseph Baker, Lilly Jay, and Owen. Two great grandchildren, Dyani Sophia and Daniella Maria. George and Diane made their home in Calabasas, California for over thirty years before selling out and taking to the road full time in their RV. They traveled the United States for a couple of years before settling down in Ventura, California and then Tehachapi, California with their daughter and granddaughter. George was an amazing grandfather and mentor to his grandchildren. He loved to read mysteries and science fiction, play poker, whittle wood, make walking sticks out of driftwood, and was the ultimate computer nerd. George will always be remembered as an excellent cook who loved cooking and trying out new recipies and making up his own. Along with his career as a computer programming engineer, he also loved to put on the big 4th of July firework shows and did the big shows off Venice Pier, Malibu Pier, and Busch Gardens in the San Fernando Valley. George also tried his hand at truck driving briefly for North American in the early 80's, but returned to what he loved most which was computer programming. George was diagnosed in 2013 with kidney and liver cancer and suffered a heart attack shortly before he passed at his daughter's home in a Tehachapi, Caliornia.
