Son of William and Rhoda Howard Mann.

Jackson Mann was first married to Delaney Howard d/o Samuel Howard and Ann Carpenter. They had two children; Meredieth Mann and Elizabeth Mann.

He met Elizabeth Jane Davis and had three children: Proctor Mann, Tecumpsey Mann and Gracie Mann.

Jackson was married last to Drucilla Hensley but they had no children.

Jackson was the father of three children by Elizabeth Jane Davis. There has been no proof that he ever married Jane Davis. Proctor Mann (my grandfather) when he married Alice Row, his father Jack Mann signed Proctor & Alice marriage license with a X. The courthouse in Breathitt county burn in the 1870's so anything before that lost.

Proctor told the family that his father was a mean man.

This day came the parties and the defendant plead not guilty and a Jury came towit: Preston Craft, G.W. Bowman, Henry Williams, J.R. Wilson, H.C. Jett, A.C Russell, James Deaton, Wesley Turner, Granville Noble, and by the agreement of the parties & jurors are to try this cause who after being sworn to try the issue who after hearing the evidence and instruction of the Court rendered the following verdict, towit: We of the Jury find the defendant guilty of illegal distilling of spirits. G.W. Bowman, foreman.
It is therefore adjudged by the Court that the defendant make good his fine to the Commonwealth by the payment of $20.00 and his cost of the herein expenses.

Sheriff's Sale for Taxes
By virtue of taxes due the Sheriff of Breathitt County, Ky., for the year 1905, for taxed due the State of Kentucky, and county of Breathitt for 1905, as hereinafter appears, I, or one of my deputies will on MONDAY, AUGUST 27 1906, it being County Court day, between the hours of 12 o'clock p.m. and 3 p.m. on the said day, at the front door of the Court House in Jackson, Breathitt County, Ky., expose to public sale at public out cry to the highest bidder for cash in hand the various tracts and parcels of land hereinafter set opposite the names of persons from whom taxes are due, penalties, commissions and costs of sale, of the following manuel persons: viz:
Jackson Mann, 100 acres, nearest resident, John Mann, precinct 12, value of land $2000, tax and commissions $26.50, Sheriff's costs $1.50, advertising $1.00. Total: $29.00.
Jackson Mann, 1/2 interest in 250 acres, nearest resident A.C. Cope, precinct 2, value of land $500, tax and commission $5.30, Sheriff's cost $1.50, advertising $1.00. Total: $7.80.
